Kevin Costner Warned by Friends to Take Things Slow With Kelly Noonan Gores
Kevin Costner is moving forward after his high-profile divorce from Christine Baumgartner, but those close to him are reportedly advising caution as he steps into a new relationship with Kelly Noonan Gores.
According to a source, Costner’s friends are “urging him to tread carefully,” believing he may be rushing into something serious too soon.
“They’ve been seeing each other for a while now, and Kevin seems ready for something long-term,” the insider reveals. “But his inner circle is telling him not to get too carried away.”
Described as a passionate, all-or-nothing kind of guy, Costner tends to dive in headfirst when it comes to love. “It was the same story with Jewel — he loves spending every moment with the person he’s dating,” the source adds. “That intensity can be a lot, and it doesn’t work for everyone. Even Jennifer Lopez found him a bit too full-on and ended up friend-zoning him after their brief flirtation in Aspen last Christmas.”
Friends have also noted the curious timing of Costner’s new romance — just as his ex-wife, Baumgartner, is preparing to marry financier Josh Connor. And some can’t help but notice the striking resemblance between Baumgartner and Noonan Gores.
“Kelly looks a lot like Christine, and that’s got people talking,” says the insider. “Some think he might still be holding on emotionally, which could be a red flag.”
Despite the concerns, Costner doesn’t seem fazed. “He’s just living his life,” the source shares. “After everything he’s been through the past couple of years, he feels he deserves to be happy.”
Costner was married to Baumgartner from 2004 until their split in 2023. Noonan Gores was previously married to billionaire Alec Gores.
