Kevin Costner is Fully Embracing the Single Life With a Star-Studded Social Schedule
Kevin Costner seems to be thriving post-divorce, giving fans a glimpse into his busy, high-profile life through a recent Instagram post.
The 70-year-old actor, who finalized his divorce from Christine Baumgartner last year after 18 years of marriage, appears to be enjoying a new chapter—on his own terms.
Sharing a collection of snapshots from recent events, Costner captioned the post: “I hear they call this a photo dump. It’s been a wild couple of weeks.”
Among the highlights, Costner made an appearance at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where he promoted Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 and joined Quentin Tarantino on stage. His three children from his marriage to Baumgartner were also by his side for the event.
In a light-hearted moment, Costner entertained the crowd when asked about the urgency behind the Horizonproject:
“The urgency? Look at me! I started this in 1988,” he joked. “I couldn’t make it then, and it didn’t seem like anybody liked it too much. So I thought, ‘I’m going to write four more.’”
His recent outings also included a Super Bowl appearance—where he was seen with comedian Pete Davidson—and a stop at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary celebration in New York.
While his public appearances have sparked speculation about new relationships, a source close to Costner says he’s currently enjoying his independence. “He is not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now,” the source revealed.
Romance rumors first swirled last November after he was spotted with singer Jewel on Richard Branson’s Necker Island. However, Costner addressed the rumors directly during an interview with Howard Stern:
“Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out ever. She’s special, and I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship.”
He was also briefly linked to Sharon Stone, who quickly shut down the buzz:
“I’ve known Kevin Costner for probably 30 years, and I think if we haven’t dated so far, we’re probably not going to,” she said.
Most recently, a selfie shared by Hoda Kotb featuring Costner at the Super Bowl ignited a fresh wave of social media chatter—but so far, it’s all just friendly fun.
